Module Description |
This module considers the inter-relationship between psychological functioning, health and health behaviour. You will explore a range of psychological concepts which will be applied to understanding behaviours that promote or are harmful to health and, in particular look at a number of different approaches to maintaining and improving and health. |
Module Learning Outcomes: |
LO1: Describe key psychological concepts which can impact on people’s health behaviours. LO2: Identify a range of health behaviours which negatively impact on health and well-being within a chosen population, using a range of supportive evidence. LO3: Suggest potential strategies for maintaining and improving health and quality of life. |

Assessment Description: |
You are required to discuss at least two psychological concepts that can influence health and health behaviour, and develop a wellness plan suggesting ways to maintain and improve health and well-being. This will help you to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of health and health behaviour. |
