Talent Management and determining training potential
In your role as HR Director, your organisation has requested you to draft a full written report including academic theory for senior management on a strategy to identify and develop talent in the organisation. For the purpose of your report you can use an organisation of your choice to frame the context of your report.
The purpose of the report is to:
- Outline how should the organisation identify and develop the talent pool using the key principles of HRM and HRD. (50 marks)
- Design the development centres for the organisation including the use of psychometrics. (25 marks)
- Propose the utilisation of HR analytics and technology as a tool to aid this process in the organisation. (25 marks)
Answer all questions. Total of the paper 100 marks. Each question has the amount of marks allocated.
Guidelines
- Your written report should be typed and well presented.
- Any and all sources must be referenced in the report and a full reference list included at the end of the report.
- MTU’s policy on Policy Governing Academic Honesty, Plagiarism and Infringements Relating to Examinations and Assessments will be adhered to. Specifically ‘it is not permitted to submit others’ work or ideas without appropriate acknowledgement. All work which is not a student’s own must be clearly identified and must be accompanied by appropriate citation(s). Items which must be cited include:
- Quotations taken word-for-word from written works such as books, journals, newspapers, and websites.
- Reworded or paraphrased information or ideas from the work of another person’
- Word count 2,500 – 3,000 words.
- Submit soft copy via CANVAS TURN IT IN.
Penalties for Late Submission
A report submitted after the submission date will attract a penalty as follows:
Up to 1 calendar week delay 10% of the marks available for assessment
Up to 2 calendar weeks delay 20% of the marks available for assessment
Over 2 calendar weeks delay 100% of the marks available for assessment
