Using your internship site, develop a leadership framework that reflect on the below seven components:
(1) philosophy of education

(3) vision for leaders;
(4) vision for teachers
(5) vision for the school as an organization
(6) vision for professional growth for self and other personnel
(7) method of vision attainment

From your internship activities, develop a topical essay on educational leadership, highlighting:
Leadership behavior
Effective communication
Shared decision-making
Change
Conflict management and
Best practices
The essay should be a minimum of five (5) pages in length, and the content supported by a minimum of five (5) references, excluding the required or companion text, double-spaced, 1 inch margins, and in APA format.
3 | Problem-based Scenarios |
Using APA, research and identify a problem-based scenario; using that problem-based scenarios, develop responses to the reflective questions regarding your internship site leaders and behaviors as it relates to the following content knowledge:
1) developing a vision;
2) stewarding a vision;
3) applying best practices to student learning;
4) managing operations, and
5) understanding the larger educational context.
The written responses identifying the behaviors should be supported by theories informing that behaviors.

Assignment # 4 | Journal Entries |
Journal entries can topic is centered on leadership processes and activities observed during field experiences and/or from the reading of selected works on effective leadership practices and procedures. In making journal entries, refer to:
- The approach a school leader uses to influence the development and stewardship of a shared vision
- Characteristics informing leader behavior and leadership effectiveness
- Description of an agenda from a meeting with a group of parents, students, or community members
- A set of best practices used in a school setting to lead change, make shared decisions, communicate effectively, and manage conflict
You are also encouraged to provide artifacts to support journal entries. Artifacts might include:
- Agendas of goal setting meetings
- Outlines and evaluations of goal setting session
- A vision statement actually developed in a school setting
- A written critique on a leadership best practice
Assignment # 5 | Theories Defined |
Research, define, analyze, and transform assigned theories into practical school situations. The assignment will be evaluated based on the extent to which the assigned theories are clearly defined, aligned with their theoreticians, and related to a practical school situation.
You are required to select theories from the textbook or sources in the literature other than the textbook. In cases when theories are selected from sources other than the textbook, the sources must be clearly documented. The written presentation of theories might be evaluated on the following criterion:
- The primary problem of the case is clearly stated.
- The secondary problems of the case are clearly stated including why they are secondary rather than primary.
- An appropriate theory base is selected and used to develop a solution to the case.
- Appropriate methods and/or approaches are selected to solve the problem issues.
- Appropriate sets of outcomes are selected as successful problem solutions.
