President Woodrow Wilson’s 14 Points Speech
Woodrow Wilson campaigned for president under the banner of neutrality and that the United States had no business getting involved in a European war. Eventually Wilson is overwhelmed by the inevitability of the U.S. being pulled into the war. We could be dragged into World War I either kicking and screaming like a two-year old throwing a temper tantrum or charge in like grown men flag waving with our heads held high, voices raised in a victorious crescendo, which would it be. Wilson develops a cause and plan for the future of the war and the world after. What is his plan? Is it viable? What do you think he could have changed to make it better? Could something like this work now?
