After reading all of Griffith’s The Church in the Shadow of the Mosque, write a critical book review of 600-900 words in length. An excellent book review will critically engage the main arguments presented by the author, assess the strengths and weaknesses of the book, and draw out reasonable implications of the author’s thesis for the study of the history of Christianity and the modern interpretation of these events.
You may address other matters as well: sharing new insights you have gained, items that encouraged or disturbed you, difficult concepts you want clarified, things that are relevant to a church or ministry situation, or ways in which the material illuminates or challenges a different area of interest.
Compose a proper essay. Essays should include an introduction, a conclusion, pursue a clearly defined thesis that has been formulated in response to the points above, and exhibit critical reflection.
Cite any sources you use in Turabian style. All notations should be from the book. No other sources necessary.
