The Knowlege Economy : Endogenous growth model in light of the impact of innovation and technological advancement on economic growth within a knowledge economy
Literature review on the Knowledge economy, innovation and technological advancement, endogenous growth models and drivers of economic growth within a knowledge economy. This in light of the impact of Improved internet penetration on ICT services among other drivers of the “Knowledge Economy Index” including Innovation Index, Education Index, Economic and Institutional Regeim Index.
CONTEXT OF RESEACH: The research is done within the context of researchign the impact of improved broadband internet penetration on economic growth in Africa. In light of this, I have started on growth models (exogenous and endogenous) and conclude that in a knowledge economy innovation and technological advancement is important for growth endogenous to the growth model. Furthermore, this task would flow from and explain what is the knowledge economy and the drivers and particularly the drivers of ICT index which is furthermore driven by broadband/internet as a fundamental access technology that drive ICT adoptionasone of its drivers.
Flow: Growth models–>Engodenous–>Innovation in Knowledge economy –> Drivers of innovations within Knowledge Economy Index –>Specifically ICT Index and ICT diffiusion –> for which internet/broadband penetration is a key driver among other factors/limitation –> this in light of developing vs developed countries –>results in digital dividends/digital equity if low penetration of internet and ICT?
The research should include :
– Economic growth in light of the endogenous growth as opposed to the neoclassical exogenous growth model (very short – the previous sections that flow into this section are on on these growth models)
-Research on the knowledge economy and what this means for economic growth in both developing and developed countries. The with a focus on developing specifically Africa after and what the research has to say about this
-Research on the determinants and classification of innovation within a knowledge society including technological advancement within the Knowledge economy Index and ICT Index, Innovation Index, Education Index, Economic and Institutional Regeim Index and how this impacts economic growth. How this fits in to knowledge economy and impact
– Research on ICT Diffusion as a driver for the ICT index within a knowledge economy including mobile phones, internet penetration and other advances on economic growth. Other factors from the research impacting ICT diffusion on the human and social basis outside of merely improved internet access
– conclude to flow into the next section which would be Digitial dividends and digital equity which is out of the scope of this paper requirements (very short flow to this section)
NB:The focus is on The Knowledge economy and drivers as outlined as well as the flow to the next section. Only Peer-reviewed articles to be used and prefered authoritative and ancillary supported research
