Most organisations and authorising bodies require a business case or project proposal to be developed as part of the employment and authorisation process. You must develop a five-year plan for the implementation of your role in your service or department. If your service has a project plan template, please use it, otherwise follow the guide provided below. You will be marked on these elements in your assignment.

- identification of areas of need
- a detailed five-year plan for the development of the role
- costings
- methodology for measuring effectiveness
- evaluation and reporting timeline
- reporting structure
- communication structure
- intention to submit research relating to the project.
