Business Ethics

  1. Corporate Social Policies
  2. Corporate Policies in Line with the Organization’s Culture

The human resource director at Techfite is tasked with many roles and responsibilities, among them the duty to see that the policies of the company are reflected in the culture of the organization. This responsibility will provide a good working environment and will help to ensure the organization is outstanding among the competitors (Renwick, Redman & Maguire 2013). The human resource director will also work hard to ensure the organization has presence in the community, as an aspect of the culture of the organization and hence will work towards the corporate social responsibility.

  1. As the human resource director, it is important to put up expenditure policies to cut down the extra expenses by the company and look out at the components to cut down without altering the performance of the company.
  2. The commitment of the employees at the company will, therefore, be a key factor to consider so as to have optimum productivity for the company. The executives for the organization will require a deeper interest in the operations and hence I have to ensure that the company performs well and at the same time generate profits (Renwick, Redman, & Maguire, 2013).
  3. The Labor policy: It involves cutting down the costs of the excess labor, as well as the excess funds in the salaries and wages. This policy will free some funds from the labor and it will be easy to take note of the potential of the employees and at the same time award them with benefits. The relieved funds will also help to take care of the welfare of the employees as well as the representation of the company. The other funds that remain will help to sponsor community responsibilities like supporting programs in the youth leadership, investing in infrastructure to help in the utilizing the environment in the rebuilding of Dellberg

The commitment of the company towards the Dellberg community will be an extension of the policies. The full-time employees will be challenged to offer some of their time per every calendar year and support the community, at least fifty hours in the community service. As the human resource director, the employees will get assurances that they will not miss their benefits for the time they serve the community.

A2 Ethical and Legal Issues

While legal issues are enforceable by law and follow set principles that can lead to legal enforcement, ethical issues are issues that pertain to disregarding the set morals in society or a workplace based on personal beliefs (Aswathappa 2013).

A3 Ethical Issues at Stake

The first impression of Techfite in Dellburg shows a lack of commitment by the organization to serving the community. The policies that have been put in place will increase the goodwill of the company as well as the reputation to show that the organization is committed to making the community better (Aswathappa 2013).

A 4 Roles of the Ethics Officer

The ethics officer will be in place to ensure the acceptability of services to the community using the excess funds for the employees and also ensure the tasks are executed according to the timeframe with the help of the supervisors.

B 1 Ethical Desirability of Improving the Reputation of the Company

The desire for making a good reputation for the community is pressing strongly regardless the benefits that the company will reap from this program. The corporate social responsibility is perceived as an approach in business for contributing a sustainable development that will be achieved by delivering social, economic and environmental benefits to all the stakeholders (Zentes, Morschett & Schramm-Klein, 2017). From the policies that have been stated, they would describe Techfite as an organization that is fully committed to ensuring they fulfill the corporate and also social responsibility. The policies will protect every individual in the community and build trust in the events that the organization partakes. The company will provide the neighbors with promises of full-time employment and commitment to improving the infrastructure as part of the service.

B2 How the Course of Action Addresses the Business Challenge

There is no course of action rather than implementing the policies immediately. The other immediate implementation may result to mistrust from the community that is the responsibility of the company as part of the culture of the company. The loss of trust will be unacceptable and detrimental and will make it difficult for the company to rebuild (Aswathappa 2013). The ethics officer will be required to confirm the excess bonuses that are generated are in line with the new policies that have been passed.

B 3 Explanation of the Course of Action

The role of the ethics officer will be necessary since it will ensure the company provides services to the community and improve the environment, so away with the excess bonuses as a duty in fulfilling the social responsibility. The company will work with the community and care for all its workers. The management of Techfite should make arrangements with the local authorities, before undertaking the events they intend to participate in. The management should also report to the authorities the findings of the actions they take part in, and any other relevant information.
