Each student in Section B will post an initial discussion post developing two precepting/mentoring plans, (a) for a new graduate with no experience, AND (b) for a new employee with previous experience, but from a different unit or facility. Tailor your discussion to any particular nursing unit with which you are familiar.
- Include length of time for the plan.
- Include topics of necessary information for this unit in your plan.
- How will you evaluate the new employee during the preceptorship and after the preceptorship?
- What will you do if the new employee is not meeting the expectations of your plan, both during the precepting period and after the precepting period?
