Are there reasons why modern humans might be more prone to
infectious disease epidemics, and where do these come from?(Microorganisms and Viruses etc).
consider:
Are there features (demographic factors,Ecological and environmental factors) of modern human societies that enhance the risk that new infectious diseases (Ebola Virus) will appear and spread?
Think about aspects such as speed of transport (how fast it spreads), population density, human spread
into new regions, use of new foodstuffs, climate change, etc. What
are some new diseases (Ebola) and how might they have been affected by
these factors? (I want to specifically engage the emergence of Ebola virus epidemic in 2014, West Africa. Using this as ‘new disease’ topic of discussion).
